Delete Your Enehid Account

Enehid ("we," "our," or "the app") allows you to request deletion of your account and associated data. This page explains how to do that and what happens to your data.

How to Request Account Deletion

Steps to request deletion of your Enehid account:

Option A – In the app: Open Enehid → Profile → Privacy & security → Request account deletion. This opens this page. Then send an email to privacy@enehid.com as described in Option B.
Option B – By email: Send an email to privacy@enehid.com from the email address linked to your Enehid account. Include "Account deletion request" in the subject line and your registered email in the body so we can identify your account.
We will confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days.
You will receive a confirmation email once your account and associated data have been deleted.

Data We Delete

When you request account deletion, we delete the following data associated with your account:

Account information: Email address, display name, profile photo, phone number
User profile: Data stored in your appUsers document (preferences, age verification, etc.)
Favorites: Your saved places list
Reviews: Ratings and comments you submitted (removed from your profile and anonymized or removed from public place listings where feasible)
Support messages: Any support or report-issue messages you sent
Firebase Auth: Your authentication account (you will no longer be able to sign in)
Stored files: Profile photos and support screenshots uploaded to our storage

Data We May Keep

Some data may be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons:

Place submissions: If you submitted restaurants, cafes, parks, or other places, we may keep the place listing (without your personal identifiers) so other users can still see it. Your name and user ID will be removed from the submission record.
Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics (e.g., crash reports, general analytics) may be retained by our providers (e.g., Firebase) according to their policies. We do not retain data that identifies you.
Legal obligations: We may retain certain data if required by law (e.g., tax, fraud prevention) for the period mandated by applicable regulations.

Retention Period

We process deletion requests within 30 days. After that:

Your account and the data listed under "Data We Delete" will be removed from our active systems.
Backups may retain copies for a limited time (typically up to 90 days) before being overwritten.
Third-party services (e.g., Firebase, Google) may retain data according to their own retention policies. We request deletion where possible, but we do not control their systems.

Third-Party Data

If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your Enehid account does not delete your Google or Apple account. You must manage those accounts separately through Google or Apple.
